When my grandma died years ago, I made sure that I took some things that I would be able to remember her by. Some pictures, a purse, a few clothing items, and these sheets. The horrid orange color completely reminds me of my grandma, and while the color is no indication of what kind of person she was, they're a happy color, like my grandma. She was always so happy and full of life, I don't think she ever said a bad word about anyone. I love her so much, and I miss her. Whenever I see these orange sheets I think of her.
I am always very compulsive when I decide my hobbies and consequently they usually last only a couple weeks. A few years ago I decided that I wanted to become an Auto Mechanic. I don't remember what movie or idea prompted this thought, but I looked up Auto Mechanic classes at SLCC and ordered some car manuals. During my searches, I discovered what my dream car was. I love the curves, nostalgia and class of the 1940 Chevy Coupe! I still have a dream that when I become a millionaire I will buy an old Chevy and completely refurbish it complete with upgrades like airbags and air conditioning. Nick isn't able to buy me a car, but he bought me and put together this model 1940's Chevy Coupe for me. Ladies, did your husband buy you a car?
The second to last week of November, I had a work party for all the people that help me on my committees. We have one every 6 months, and I decided to bring a couple dishes. Our 13 X 9 pan was left on the counter needing to be cleaned. Nick thought that it had already been cleaned and put it in the cupboard. Imagine my surprise when I went to make a cake the other day, almost a month later and discovered this "culinary abortion." My 7 layer dip, complete with cheese and sour cream, looked more like a 3rd Graders Science Project in Mold Development. There were at least 5 different kinds, and the black stuff, that's not olives that furry mold. I almost threw the pan away, but Nick washed it 5 times and sanitized it with bleach. I'm still not completely convinced that there's not microscopic mold embedded in the metal. (This is best viewed by zooming in.)
Lately I've been sleeping on the futon. No we're not having marital complications, we have a Full sized bed and there just isn't room for both of us and our dog. I sleep better on the futon because it's a little firmer. The other night as I went to switch my head positions from the right to the left I hit my brow bone pretty hard on the metal bar. I literally saw stars! I told Nick about it the next morning, but you always feel stupid when there's no visible evidence of your pain. It still stung a little, but while I was putting my makeup on in Asher's room, the natural light revealed this horrible bruise on my face. I'm a little embarrassed that it didn't come to me in a cooler way, like hitting some punk at Wal-Mart who was swearing at their kid, but what can I say. I'm just a bad ass.

The moldy pan story made me cry in laughter! That looks like it really hurt your eye. Ouch!
Mariah's mom here. I think you should seriously consider a red 1950 Chevy pick up truck. It runs a very close second to a 1940 Chevy Coupe, don't you think?
